Camp Sonshine

Camp Sonshine 2000
Keith, Texas
Youth Camp for the Central Texas District Association of Free Will Baptists

Campers leaving the new Chapel
In 2000, this beautiful new chapel building was constructed for a variety of functions at Camp Sonshine, including chapel and classes for campers, a meeting place for churches retreating at the campgrounds, and other indoor functions. It was purposely built without windows to avoid distractions.
Campers have a variety of structured activities during the day. Everything from private devotions to chapel to recreational events consume the camper's week.

Peter Pohler, 2000 Teen Camp Evangelist
Teen campers were privileged to have Evangelist Peter Pohler preaching in morning and evening chapel services. He is a recent graduate of Southeastern Free Will Baptist College in Wendell, North Carolina. Peter is from McAllen, Texas where he attends the Primera Iglesia Bautista Libre de Fe (First Free Will Baptist Church) of Weslaco, Texas. Peter's parents, Fred and Betsy Pohler, are transplanted Yankees, but God may forgive them for that.
